The End

I am happy to report that since the purpose of this website was fulfilled, I will stop writing here.

It has been an interesting journey on this site since 2004. Although I am thrilled with Karadzic's capture, I will miss writing on this site.

At some point soon I would like to post again and tell you more about myself and who I am, but first I need to scrub the site to see if anything is on here that shouldn't. That may take a while.

Nick Hawton reports he will write a book with his account of his experiences in the hunt for Karadzic. Based on the extent and quality of his reporting, it should be a first-rate project and something to look forward to.

After years of frustration in the hunt for Karadzic, there is a fraternity that will never be broken among those of us who tried to bring this fugitive to justice, spanning journalists, soldiers, lawyers, politicians, and so many others.

Radovan Karadzic, who expended tremendous political will to exterminate Muslims in Bosnia, now sits in confinement awaiting trial. Regardless of the trial results, the purposes of justice will now be served in a way they never could when he was a fugitive.

There are so many lessons to be learned with Karadzic in the hunt for other war criminals, and in other complex international problems. I'm sure that I will be working with many of you again soon.

Goodbye!

As a frequent reader of this blog from the very beginning, I feel honored to be the first to respond to this final post. I truly admire your work on this website and that, despite all the uncertainties and many set-backs, you always kept searching and writing. As this quest has come to an end, I hope you will find another worthy aim in the future.

I too respect the work of this blog! We can all be glad that Karadžić is going to be on trial, and perhaps, if rumors are true, Mladić may soon follow.... of course it's just rumors.... take with large helpings of kosher salt!

congratulations on your 'stubbornness'to keep this blog all this time.

I imagine your mixed feelings about closing the blog. but the essential is that this story came to an end.

I hope you will leave it open and don't erase it, at least for some time.

There's a lot of encouragement that you could offer to people in other countries who have suffered similarly. But, for now, take in the moment and breathe a sigh of relief.

Now all you're missing to round everything off is an incomprehensible comment from John telling you no-one will ever catch him.

Do you really think that everything is over? Karadžić has completed his mission, thousands of muslims in Bosnia are dead and you cannot bring them back to life. Mladić and Radovan will ever be the heros of the Slavs, the photo of Ratko is the icon for me, he did for his nation more than all your rotten saints for your dying Europe and its decaying nations. Bloody pig Tadić is not immortal, sooner or later he will pay for his betrayal. and then you will see all what Jugoslavian Army can do. Bosnia is doomed to sink in seas of blood for the foolishness of croatian and muslims' leaders. Жива Сербия, во веки веков!

May I remind you all that Karadzic is a "suspected" war criminal, and he has not been proven guilty by the puppet Hague court.

F**k the Netherlands for earning money for the illegal NATO court in the Hague - I will laugh when you get swallowed up in Muslim-Christian civil war, just like Yugoslavia did. Just carry on with goat-f**kers like Geert Wilders and you will self destruct ASAP.

The only crime Karadzic is guilty of is defending Serbs, especially against the crimes of Mujahadeen Muslim terrorists in Bosnia. Mr. Blogger owner, explain to me it is a crime to defend one's Christian family, possessions and church in Bosnia from Muslim terrorists, but George Bush goes free for murdering 150,000 Muslim civilians in Iraq??? Maybe the start of a new blog ...

The West is finally collapsing in its own Catholic-inspired moral and financial Black Hole ...

You liberal americans/westerners dont understand what you are talking about and have obviously forgot about the main threat, Islam...not some petty local warlord who had equally bad counterparts on the other sides of the conflict. You are all racist anti serbs and nazi ustase sympathizers (i would be surprised if any of you knew what ustase means as you obviously have no idea about european history, being americans)

one more thing....how is siege a war crime...it is a part of war...if the sarajevo seige is a war crime, the american siege of falljuah constitutes genocide, in terms of numbers killed...why isnt bush/blair in the hague? because it is an anglo saxon/western conspiracy of US/UK who want to impose their rule on the world, from europe itself to the middle east...the hypocrisy is unbelievable. one more thing....it still has to be proven whether he was a war criminal...so stop saying war criminal karadzic as it is not even true...if you want to understand this war watch a documentary called serbian epics and you will see how little control radovan had in a military sense...FORZA RADOVAN....

Too bad you didn't devote your energies to bringing the likes of Izetbegovic, Tudjman et al. to justice. But then again, there is no justice in the Hague for Orthodox Serbs, only for Catholic Croats and Muslim Bosniaks.

I know things about the hunt for K-Man and the other PIFWC's. I know of SFOR's close calls and near misses. I am grateful he has been captured. I am tormented by the fact that he was so elusive and deeply protected. There is evil on this planet and it must be sought after and made accountable for the misdeeds it perpetrated. I have notes on the hunt and only wish I could have been there when he was delivered to the Hague.
