What is Liljana going to do?

About Karadzic's new girlfriend? Here's a pic scanned from a German daily.

Balkan Ghost,

You are pathetic. Dr Karadzic's sex life is none of anybody's business - you are appealing to the lowest common denominator (which actually tells me a lot about you as a person).

Furthermore, the woman in question has quite clearly stated that she and Dr Karadzic had a professional relationship. I can only assume that you have contact with women in your work life so you should appreciate that a woman and a man can have a non-sexual relationship.

Your appeals to vulgarity further illustrate the manner in which the smear campaign against Dr Karadzic has been carried out - it has relied on lies and character assassination rather than facts and rational debate.

I am proud of my country Republika Srpska. I don't see why that makes me dishonest.

What is dishonest is the smear campaign against Dr Karadzic, such as the one on this blog.

Dealing in sexual innuendo, gossip, and vulgarity demonstrates the methods that have been employed for quite some time. What I have not seen is facts, solid arguments, and reasonable statements.

Anyway, read my comment again, and address the actual comment, not me.

The Right of Self-Determination for Republika Srpska!

Cheers.

Ljiljana is a long-suffering wife. She could have filed for divorce many years ago and could have made life much easier for herself and the rest of the family.

Karadzic has undergone an amazing transformation, I actually like his DDD character, but it seems she is her old, boring self.

Dear R.S.,

Much like what EI said, given your name, there is nothing I can write to impress you short of becoming pro-Karadzic. Don't hold your breath on that.

Radovan's girlfriend is relevant to Liljana's support of her man in the Hague. Karadzic will feed on that and wither if Liljana leaves him.

My guess is she'll stand by her man.

Dear Balkan Ghost,

You seem to have mistaken me for somebody who is "pro-Karadzic".

I do not believe in having simple pro- and anti- opinions. I do not believe that things are black and white. Issues are always gray.

I have no particular sympathy for Dr Karadzic. But I feel that it is the epitomony of hypocrisy to charge him (and Mladic, Gotovina, Oric, etc. etc.) for war crimes and to ignore the big fish like Bush, Blair, etc. etc.

This merely reinforces the image of "Balkan savages" and "civilised Westerners". It also lets the big and powerful get away with murder (and much worse). The wars in the former Yugoslavia cost about 100,000 lives altogether over a 8 year period. Sad, but less than most people expected. 300,000 Germans were killed in one night during the bombing of Dresden in 1944. 120,000 in Horishima and Nagasaki in 2 days.

To conclude, f**k Dr Karadzic. He is a distraction. His purpose is to distract people (like you my dear BG) from the 'real' war criminals.

Cheers.

Dear RS,

Feel free to start your own blog about international criminal justice. I happen to write about Karadzic and have done so for several years. I don't think anybody is asserting that Karadzic's capture is a cure-all for the world's problems.
